| Hungary
ELI-Hungary is based on the assumption that under
the market conditions of Hungary a significant part of lighting
upgrades is economically feasible. Implementation is hindered by
poor awareness and capabilities of the market players, both sellers
and buyers. Based on this assumption ELI-Hungary contains the following
elements:
- 1. Awareness development, improving consumer
confidence in efficient lighting technologies - both residential
and non-residential.
- 2. Many-sided assistance to the players of the
market, with special emphasis to Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).
- 3. Establishing co-operation between the different
players in the lighting market.
- 4. Investment subsidies on a limited basis.
The
Budget for ELI-Hungary was US$1.25 million.
