Who will implement the Next Generation of
ELI?
In order to build on the demonstrated value of the ELI technical
specifications and logo, IFC issued last summer a call for proposals
for parties interested in carrying forward the Next Generation of
ELI . Of the respondents, the China Center for the Certification
of Energy Conservation Product / CECP - was best able to effectively
articulate a vision and strategy for earning revenue from maintaining
the ELI specifications and logo, while maintaining a system of certification
which ensures consumer reliability and product quality.
