Point of sale (POS) materials:
The information present right at the point of sale can often be
a decisive tool changing the customer's shopping decisions. The
POS materials connect the advertising campaign to concrete products.
Through cooperation with light source distributors and retailers,
displays of ELI POS materials were ensured in 3 major DIY stores
(OBI, Hornbach and Baumarkt) and 4 major hypermarkets (TESCO, Carrefour,
MAKRO and Interspar). 1000 selected specialized electro shops were
addressed and supplied with basic POS materials (stickers, image
boards, informational material for customers) by direct mailing.
Other 500 shops were supplied with identical materials through wholesale
channels. Other POS activities - such as promotional and price offers
should be carried out by individual manufacturers.
Retailers training:
An information brochure on CFLs for shop assistants was produced
and distributed to almost 3000 shops. The brochure serves as
a comprehensive guide to CFL shopping (what selection criteria,
ELI logo etc.), answers FAQs of consumers and covers basic information
on lighting in general. |
