ELI sponsored lighting retrofits in a set of buildings.
In order to identify and promote energy efficient lighting
in non residential buildings, ELI also sponsored a design
competition which provide recognition and publicity to
efficient lighting installations in Argentina. English

Argentina Award for Energy-Efficient Lighting Installations
ELI Argentina sponsored a contest to recognize and reward
best practices in energy-efficient lighting in buildings
- Competition Rules.
Another GEF program called Argentina Street Lighting
Program (ASLP) promoted financing mechanisms to encourage
efficiency projects in street lighting. While Energy
Service Companies can be privately financed, they have
difficulties in arranging for financing under reasonable
terms. One way of arranging this is through the participation
of electricity distribution companies
