Long Distance Course

In 2003 together with the National Technological University, ELI launched its first Distance Learning Course on Energy-Efficient Lighting. The course comprises 17 lessons, shown as PowerPoint presentations, followed by a number of self-administered tests, examinations corrected by ELI, and requirements for an essay and practical exercises for students wishing for a higher level of certification. There was e-mail interaction between
teachers and students. This course was offered free of cost, and 800 persons
signed up for it. It started in May 2003 and finished in November. The best performers were awarded a scholarship to attend the MAVILE (Medio Ambiente Visual e Iluminación Eficiente) course offered by the National University of Tucuman.

Best performers were:

Special mention to:

From May 25th to December 2004 ELI and UTN are working on the 2nd Long Distance Course on Efficient Lighting.
